Hmmm, "The faculty believe" may actually be correct. Because the faculty could be considered a unit. Like "the family decides to go out for pizza."

I assumed that since "faculty" is a unit of people, that it would act like "group," as in "the group decided to go out to eat."

You have to use present tense. He decided, They decided. There is no difference. knullare October 19 2005, 20:53:10 UTC
The group can "decide" to go out to eat as well as "decides" to go out to eat.

K. Even more.

What is wrong with "in chemistry?" You took the Chem AP exam. It was an AP exam (covering material) in (the field of) chemisty. People can shorten things without losing their meaning.

What is wrong with "field of chemistry?" I can't even fathom why you think this is wrong.

"We, as a faculty?"

"Help you obtain these goals?" You is the subject. Obtain is the verb. Seems okay with me.

I already have these goals. I need to achieve them, not to obtain them again. Usage error.
