Although I generally disapprove of killing in war, I think there is a certain rightness in stopping someone from hurting people. I'm pretty much a pacifist, but if someone's standing on a tower shooting college students or something, the most Christian thing to do is getting the guy to stop. Theoretically, you might be able to do this with love, or beanbag guns, but I think violence would be appropriate in limited situations like this. Of course, it becomes debatable, or a point of debate, when one assumes that one person has the potential to harm other people, or harm them again, when they aren't currently harming anyone.
