Happiness might be too much of an optimistic assessment of my current state. I am not miserable though, so I suspect that that is an improvement.

It has been healed, yes. A magic user from another world possessed the ability to repair the damage.

I do not think we shall ever be friends. However, it may be that we will one day be able to stand in the same room without feeling the overwhelming desire to kill one another. I would consider that progress.

To be honest, I do not believe that I would like it either. Being alive is, at the moment, preferable to death. Even if it means living here.
