[And so! Her captain being returned safely, the temporary rain of plagues having ceased in this strange, strange town, Rangiku has decided to do what she should have done from the beginning of her time here.

Shopping.

That means that this afternoon, someone will be walking around loaded down with bags of all kinds. She doesn't need a helping hand, ( Read more... )

I enjoy the grocery store for the various tea flavors. But I don't have much preference in clothing - Luceti only has two stores for that I believe.

Oh? What kind of teas do you like?

Anything bitter is acceptable. If I had to choose, my favorite flavor is plum.

Aaaaah. If I am having a bitter drink, I prefer to have something sweet with it. I hope that they carry your favorite flavor often.

Lieutenant,

I am happy to hear of the return of your Captain to us; I shudder to think how lost a subordinate might be without their commanding officer. [That's a dig, but whatever. He can mend it later... if he feels like it.

But now the important part; when to meet them. Ah...] Please expect and invitation within a fortnight from the present date. I look forward to this meeting as well, in spite of the delays.

Sincerely,

Earl Ciel Phantomhive.

[Oh-ho-ho, now that was interesting. She can't help but wonder what he's after with that little dig - and one that would normally leave her more amused than angered if it didn't prod at the fact that he'd been taken in the first place.

Fine - she'll bite.]

Your concern is appreciated. Fortunately, Luceti is not a very large place. It would be hard to be lost for long in a place so small.

I will tell my captain that we can [a pause] expect an invitation presently. Although he might wonder if it really takes two weeks to prepare for tea, and if that is the case, we can certainly meet in one of the village's restaurants.

[And she wonders just what exactly he'll make of that.]

I had merely wished to allow for time to ensure your Captain had properly recovered for our meeting. And in light of recent events, I am sure that ones in your unique position might be burdened. [Someone had to have died, after all, right?] Would you prefer that I forgo these considerations?

I mostly stick to the grocery store, personally. I tried the clothing shop once, but... [She pauses, a bit awkwardly.] I didn't really come back with anything.

[Ah, the Espada.

...she still needs to take her drinking. Her voice is pleasantly interested.]

No? You didn't see anything that you liked? I've already got three bags...

[Former Espada, thanks.

Nel's brow wrinkles in thought as she remembers the trip.] Honestly, I wasn't really sure what to look for. And I ran into a friend, which kind of cut the trip short.

They compliment each other rather well. There's a lot of room for creative freedom as well.
