Trainer. The most lazy trainer that you will ever see.
Personality:
The first thing to describe Matsumoto Rangiku is that she is easy-going, carefree spirit and a cheerful person that enjoys slacking from work and drink sake. That definition is really close to the truth, considering that's what she does most of the time. She is always running away from doing her duty if that involves paperwork in order to do something funnier than that.
Usually using her charms to get in her way without shame. She will not take a no as an answer no matter what, making her really stubborn when it comes with silly things. Of course if a superior says no, she will not push it too much because of the consequences. Also, she likes to tease people with her body as well only to see their reactions. Hug someone with her chest without bothering about that.
One can say that Matsumoto is the kind of woman that cares a lot for her body. If you call her old, fat or anything similar, she will probably have a crisis and pout because of it. She's really confident with her body, but a comment like that will make her go to that extreme. But nothing too serious.
Despite that appearance that everybody sees her, inside her she is a serious and caring person. When the situation calls for it, she will get serious in order to move forward or she will understand how the other people are feeling. She has a gentle heart and will do anything to help those that are her friends. That being understanding them or doing anything they need in order to move to the future.
Also, Matsumoto is like any women. She will cry when she's losing someone she really cares for, she will run behind anyone that needs her and will get angry when someone is being mean to her without any reason. She will hug people when she's really happy. Also, she has a soft spot for children and for people that suffered the same as her when she was a child.
However, she has a weird taste of food. She can eat Orihime's food and she actually likes it.
Strengths:
She's a very good fighter. Skilled with her sword, she able to take out large group of enemies without being tired. One can add her high endurance and resistance that has been proved in the series, and her speed. Obviously, all her powers will be gone arriving at Route.
Rangiku has no shame. That word doesn't exist in her dictionary. Quite the opposite, she will use her body to get in her way, or get a discount in the store. Also, she likes to dress with provocative clothes to show her cleavage a bit.
Also, she cares for people, knowing how they feel and understanding they feelings. This also means that she's a good listener and adviser, as when she advised Orihime to not give up when she was staying in her house.
Let's not forget that when she gets serious, she is a good strategist in battle, even if she keeps that happy and cheerful appearance. I mean, she's a Lieutenant for a reason.
An important skill! She can eat Orihime's food and she likes it. And that's really strong by itself.
Weaknesses:
One of her greatness weakness is Ichimaru Gin. He was one of the most important people for Rangiku, and after losing him, she could sort of understand why he didn't left anything behind. She gets attached to people that if they disappear leaving something behind, she will get stuck in that point and will never be able to move forward from it. He was the only one that knows her deep inside and she most of the time can bring herself to harm him.
She is a lazy ass. If she can slack from doing duty or something that seems not fun, she will totally do it. Also, if something takes too much effort, and she doesn't want to do it, chances that she doesn't do it are really high.
Another weakness are her friends. She will do anything to help them or protect them if she can. And she will not forgive herself if something happens to them while she could do something to protect them.
Sometimes, she can be really too self-centred, always caring what can happen to her. This is most of the time around her, but she can show a serious and caring part of her when needed.
Matsumoto drinks too much. Often, she gets drunk at the point to faint, and will not pass the chance to sit down and drink as much sake as she can. Also, adding to this, another weakness would be that she's a teaser. Not missing a chance to tease someone with her body only to see their reaction.

First Person Sample:
Ne, what do you think it will look better on me? The pink one or the red one?
[Apparently, the Vulpix is just like her trainer and takes a moment to decide which one choose. The people at the Department Store are just looking the big bags that she seems to be carrying, full of clothes.]
They are so pretty! I can't choose between them! [The vulpix seems to make a happy sound at that.] Hey, don't give me that look. If you behave and help me to choose, I'll buy something to you as well~
[With a mischievous smile on her face, she turns to see around.]
Don't worry. I'll make sure to have a big discount~
Third Person Sample:
Her first thoughts about the place is that it had to be dream. But, as time passes, she quickly realized that it was real. Without her shinigami powers and anything related to that, Matsumoto had to train a little creature to fight here. Perhaps it could be considered as if she were training with her zanpakutoh, and at least this creature listened to her.
"Hey, cute one! You're supposed to do what I said!" Rangiky pouted looking at her Vulpix, which was really comfrotable in that bed. She let out a soft sigh as she placed one hand in her hips, waiting. "Ne, be a good boy... Captain will get mad at me if he sees that we're not training!" Pouting a bit, she decided to try the victim role to convince the Pokemon to train. "Have you thought in my feelings? Getting yelled because you don't want to train?"
The Vulpix looked down a moment, as if he were thinking, and then quickly raised his head, shaking it a bit. "Only a bit?" That was the last thing she said pouting, expecting any kind reaction from the little creature. "Tsk, you are like Haineko. Perhaps I shall consider changing your name for it." Added Matsumoto stressed as she sat down.
Obviously, the vulpix didn't like the name and started to protest. She only raised an eyebrow and smirked a bit playfully to him. "Oh, what is this? You don't like the name~? Maybe we can work this together~" With a small chuckled, Gin the Vulpix listened carefully. "There's a sale on the store I like, but I Captain knows about it, he will get mad at me for not training you. So...~" The pokemon nodded and she laughed happily. "I knew you would understand, Gin! You're the best!"
With that, she hugged him with her big cleavage, not noticing the that little one was being crushed by it and couldn't get enough air to breath. But those were small details.
