I guess I missed my 40th anniversary of moving away from L.A. For some reason, I thought it was in April, but it turns out I left home for new horizons on March 18, 1983. And irony of ironies, where was I on March 18, 2023? In L.A.! For eye appointments, and for general R&R. As before, I stayed with my lifelong friend, Richard, who I grew up with

I've been to all of those except for Freakbeat and Rockaway. Does the latter charge to open up by appointment?
Did you ever get to go to A 1 Record Finders on Melrose? That used to be a very good one also. Glad PooBah was such fun! I haven't been to Amoeba since it went to this location. You probably remember PooBah on Walnut too, but luckily they kept the spirit when they moved. I'll haveta put FreakBeat on my list.

I'm seriously hoping to build a man cave now that I'm retired so I can just sit and listen to all of my old vinyl and even all of the albums I inherited from my parents.

Lots of Broadway musicals. Also easy-listening jazz like Jackie Gleason.

Haven't been record shopping in ages though there's a large used store here in Santa Cruz and a bunch more around the area. Used to go to Rasputin, Amoeba in Haight Ashbury, Tower, and others.
