No spoilers please!

I think I've partially decided to give in and watch Supernatural and Fringe (Josh Jackson, yes please).

Are either going to be imminently cancelled or have they turned a sucky big one the previous season to make me not want to watch it and fall in love and then be crushed?

Don't watch Fringe but I think it's back for another season and SPN definitely is.

SPN...I'm there to the end with it, but there's no denying it's moved away from its original premise of two brothers hunting down evil things whilst looking for their missing dad.

A LONG way.

Oh good thanks :)

Well I think I didn't watch it originally due to the original premise sounding a bit bland, so I'm quite pleased about that!

I think I will get on with watching asap thanks.

Awww the first season of Fringe is a little rough, but I kept going through it, and by the end of it I was hooked & couldn't wait for season 2!

I have friends who're really into it and keep telling me to watch; maybe over the summer.

I just marathoned Fringe over the last month or month and a half...and I LOVED IT! In my opinion, it's the best science fiction show on the air right now.

Just watched the Pilot and wasn't disappointed. It was like a movie!

WATCH FRINGE! It's so, so amazing! I will say that it starts slow, but by the two-parter in the middle of S1, it becomes really, really awesome. (As does Olivia, but the show and her character are bound pretty tightly, at least for me.) I also thought the middle of the past season (S3) dragged, but it was interspersed with some excellent ones, and then they ended with a trilogy that became perhaps my favorite episodes of the show. But by and large, yes, it is the best show on TV right now. There's a competently-thought out mytharc, amazing characters and character relationships, and all kinds of sci-fi coolness with many gasp-inducing twists and turns. Think X-Files meets Alias, but with an actual masterplan ( ... )

Aww that's sad about season 4 being the last. I only go into it this early summer!!

Yeah, it is unfortunate, but honestly, I think everyone was shocked to get a fourth season at all. The ratings have been hanging out in the 1.2-1.5 range, which is pretty awful for network TV, even on a Friday night. (Obviously, the American people have no taste.) I think what saved it was getting a really, really amazing deal from the production company, plus the combination of critical acclaim and the Fox CEO's apparent love for the show.

Haha, question: the thing that drove me nuts was that EVERYBODY in the main cast had an accent that I heard every time they spoke. Did it bother you??

Fringe is awesome and Joshua Jackson, as you know is adorable :-) Though the best character is Walter. Season 1 does have more stand alone episodes but once the arc kicks it's really good and season 3 has been fantastic.

You really do need to avoid spoilers, there's loads you want to discover by yourself.

There were some rumours that it was a bit rocky and wouldn't get a fourth season but that wasn't the case.

When you start watching you'll need this...you'll understand why :-)

I watched the first season and bit of season 2 of Supernatural and was a bit meh about it and not happy with the way the plot went, so gave up on it. But I know many people that love it, one friend only got into it last year and is now a huge fan.

The fandom is a scary one though, especially the squicky fic it's well known for it! *shudder*

We loved the Fringe Pilot and I was especially giddy about the big floating location letters!

I think we'll see how we go with Fringe and only watch Supernatural if we run out :D

Does this have any spoilers in it? The article I mean before I click. We're on the S1 finale already going to watch it tonight. Is it about those little icon thingies the seahorse and leaf and apple?

I can officially declare my love for Fringe after just watching the Pilot. Though I was slightly thrown by how deep JJ voice has become (I've been watching Dawson's Creek).
