According to my mother, it may happen again. All the women on her side of the family had an ovarian cyst at one point; my mom's experienced a rupture herself. :/
I guess I'll have to find a reliable OBGYN, and possibly get on birth control.
Thank you for your concern~ ♥ How are you and the kids doing these days? How was the science camp for your son?
:-( that sucks big time. Vomiting from pain is like, the most helpless vomiting ever, because it isn't like a headache puke where you do it and it's over with, or food poisoning where you understand what's going on~but the pain induced kind that seems to just kill your brain at the same time is the worst. I've been out of my mind and vomiting from pain before, and it really is frightening.
I'm hoping you're feeling better soon and that the cysts don't become a recurring thing.
Yeah. The vomiting from pain was the killer, aside from the pain itself, because it just wouldn't stop. -__- I could feel it coming and all I could think was "omg again?!" DDD: definitely do not want.
I just hope I won't have another incident like this while I'm in Korea. My trip to the hospital was (while long) was covered. The amount I'd have to pay if this happened in Korea would be quite high.
^^ I'm glad that it wasn't anything that required surgery or anything either. I have a plane to catch next week so I'm glad that it was a relatively minor thing.
Omgggggg all that vomiting was not fun. I was very thankful for the morphine drip. Very, very thankful.
Speaking as someone who has vomited on average once a day since March 6th, 2010 (I have gastroparesis - a paralysis of the stomach muscles, meaning my stomach doesn't really do its own digesting - and most solid foods hurt like a bitch to have sit in your stomach for more 14 hours, and thus my stomach would rather it left upwards thank you very much), I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of the least offensive things to barf up. I have run the gamut of things you don't want to puke up. At the top of the list is anything acidic.
