Update as of the end of March - lost some steam on some things, picked it up on others.
HOUSE
- have no started-but-not-finished projects by Thanksgiving 2011
Maybe I will get there? haha!
- maintain a list of todo's, and work on at least one every week (forward progress, not necessarily finished). Track via googledocs
Didn't do so hot on this one in March. Some research/shopping/planning, but very little in the way of actual tasks completed. Some spring cleaning got worked in there, but that doesn't really count toward finishing off projects! Seems like I usually have either energy to sew or to do home improvement. The longer I look at the "to do" list, the less enthused I am about finishing the things on it - I just need to stop thinking about a couple of them and jump in. They're mostly not hard, just tedious.
- remove two units of "extra stuff" from the house each month (where unit roughly equates to a 13 gal trash bag/bankers box/equivalent). Track for entire year.
Got Jason involved a little in this one, this month. Collectively we got rid of 4 bags of clothes/shoes/small household misc (2 to donation, 2 to trash since the contents were junky), and a large plastic footlocker with the White Sox logo on it that he hadn't used since high school.
Running total: 16 "units" (January - 9, February - 2, March - 5).
HOBBIES
- Sew enough clothes that 1/3 of wardrobe is self-made (or significantly altered)
Sewed a pencil skirt (navy, white, red floral), blue/white herringbone pants, and a navy blue linen "suit" jacket (including drafting and inserting my first-ever jacket lining, woo!). Was a moron and didn't pre-shrink fabric for the skirt, and it didn't go through the dryer well - will have to see if a good pressing will fix, or if I have to remove the hem and re-attach to the lining.
- Start golfing consistently at/below 45/side
Maybe some golf in April? J did play a round on one of the nicer Saturdays, but I'm not that hardcore.
MISC
- Replace Jason's car, with no loan
Savings continue on track, more or less.
- Add one good habit/month. Track with daily calendar/stars. March habit: drinking two glass of water while at work
Didn't track on calendar, but did most days. April's habit: eating a fruit or vegetable with either breakfast or lunch every day. Lest I die of scurvy.
