By the time you read this I should be off on a plane flying away from Washington. Too bad it's only for a short period of time. I will be in Hawaii from the 29th thru the 4th. Althought with the time changes that occur I really won't be back in Washington until the 5th ( Read more... )

when they are saying they test their food on dogs, it means that they cut the dogs legs open and test the nutrients with parts of their muscles. PETA used to leave advertisements like that on the floors at petsmart.

The response by Iams was through the ASPCA. The claims made by PETA were not that they were cutting legs at all. It was that the dogs vocal cords are snipped and the dogs are kept in small cages. ASPCA stated that they make frequent checks of the Iams plant to make sure that the treatment of the animals are up to code and according to them they always have been.

the reason I said that was because someone handed out flyers where I used to work showing pictures of how the animals were cut open.
