To the VCU and VCU Health System Communities,
VCU Police report there was an assault Wednesday afternoon in the Life Sciences Building on the Monroe Park Campus. A female student was attacked with what she believes was a socket wrench in the vicinity of the 2nd floor women's restroom. The suspect is described as a white male, 6' to 6' 2" tall, in his early 20s, with short brown hair. He was wearing gold framed sunglasses, a green and blue striped polo shirt, stone washed jeans and brown shoes and was last seen heading toward the courtyard between the Life Sciences Building and the tennis courts. The victim was taken to the VCU Medical Center and treated for minor injuries.
