We Are Lame...

Oct 31, 2009 18:48

For Halloween we are staying home, not dressing up, and not handing out candy. I had a Sleeping Beauty performance this morning, this afternoon Joe and I did a pirates party together. I don't know... it's just that Halloween looses it's luster after D*C.

We are carving pumpkins, though. Pics later.

Yeah, we're lame tonight too. I went out last night with my friend Dawn, and we dressed up as Satan's Cheerleaders. There weren't many people dressed up, and the few we saw were in generic slutty nurse costumes. I did see a really cool Charlie Chaplin, though.

You're right...it sort of pales in comparison to D*C. :-)

We do need to get together sometime before I move!

I hear you. I'm always so wiped by Halloween...and it just pales in comparison to D*C. We wore super-easy costumes to a very laid-back party tonight, which was the perfect way to spend the evening. :)

Yeah, that sounds about the same to our evening. We've come to realize that, unless we move to Atlanta, get a bigger place and invite people over, we'll have to celebrate Halloween quietly, and modestly. We don't drink, we don't party, and we aren't bar flies. So we celebrate it in a historical fashion...watch History channel programs about Halloween and classic monster lore...carve pumpkins, make carmel apples, etc.

We do want to take a trip to Salem and Sleepy Hollow at some point. Up for a road trip next year?? Go somewhere where they appreciate the hell out of Halloween?? :P

We would love a road trip, but... we make a lot doing parties on Halloween and probably couldn't justify the lost income. :(

Maybe another time, another event?? We would love to be able to see you guys outside of Dragon*Con!!
