I've been trying to eat really healthily lately, and I havent found that non-locally grown food has "tons of chemicals" in it as long as you keep in mind where and what you buy for produce. Trader Joes and Whole Foods are typically safe bets. Also, frozen veggies usually dont use preservatives and actually have the most nutrients because they are plucked, cleaned, and immediately frozen and remain frozen during shipping all the way to the market

i completely agree with all the label reading- the couple of extra minutes in each aisle is worth it. my biggest problem is scooping up all the zero calorie sodas and "0 point" weight watchers products and then I end up with too many chemicals. the giving back is great when it works. I think by even discussing this, we're on the right track! :)
haha, i like that, even if i find it hard to follow. someone told me as a general rule, if your grandparents didn't have it as a food wen they were your age, don't eat it.
