So we got randomly chosen to have our apartment inspected by the city. They just do it randomly around here and apparently my apartment hasn't been inspected in years so tada we won the frickin lottery ( Read more... )

If you need some help tidying up, give me a buzz :) I've gone through that inspection nonsense before, it's a massive pain in the ass, but I know what they want to see :D

So what do they want to see? A friend told me that its basically to make sure we keep our place clean and we aren't running drugs out of our apartment or have animals that we didn't tell them about etc....

Basically, but they want walkways at least 18 or 24 inches wide, plus they check electrical and everything else. They're not gonna check for dust or anything on the tops of your door frames, so don't bother with that :P If you get the douchebag, "lived in" = OMG FILTHY CONDEMNED, so try to bring it a notch or two above that.
