Oh wow. Your roommate needs to get the hell away from her family or she's going to have a miserable life. That mother is awful.

As for the way they're acting - it's your place, you're all paying the bills, and if your housemate wants to leave, then let her leave instead of putting all her stuff everywhere. I'd dump all the boxes outside the front door and change the locks, quite frankly.

I had the same problem when working on my original fiction - ideas for fic kept coming into my head instead. Then when I went to work on my older fics, ideas for new fics took hold!
