It's so hard to say goodbye to a person you saw everyday! I have never met anyone who could put more philosophy, righteousness, and vindication into one sentence. Outside of the chemistry classroom, Dr. Allin taught me things even when he wasn't trying to. Even in dying he taught me a lesson. He taught me that the human body is a fragile thing

I heard about Dr. Allin's death a few days ago, and immediately thought of you, being a pre-med major. I never had a class with him or anything, but I hope that you know that I am deeply sympathetic of his death, and to what it must mean for you.
