I'm late, what else is new?

Chapitre 178
One other trap

Seeking the feather, Shaoran and the clone reach out their hands and attempt to stab each other through the heart. At that moment, a shadow forces its way through, the swords entangle, what the clone pierced was the heart of Sakura, who jumped in to protect Shaoran. The clone's stabbed arm shivers.

Shaoran: Sakura!!
Sakura (shaking her head): Your Sakura isn't me.

Start flashback. Fei Wang and Xing Huo talking.

Xing Huo: You'll make even the princess a replica?
Fei Wang: I'll have her go on a journey that will engrave the memories of events into her body.
However, I must have her live for one other role.
The one leaving for the journey is a replica. With this, even if she dies, only the body should return to Clow country. (T/N: Actually the line sounds more like Fei Wang himself is in Clow country, but Ookawa has messed with demonstratives before, so I can't be sure.)
I'll change her memories into feathers and scatter them throughout several dimensions. That replica will go on the journey believing it's in order to save the princess' life,
without knowing that the princess is also a replica.
The power to transcend dimensions. The wings that indicate its whereabouts. That which will grant my wish. Now, that power will be revived. (T/N: Almost direct quote from chapitre 1, though we didn't get the wish part back then if memory doesn't fail me.)

The means so that the Sakura replica won't refuse to surrender the body in the end, will they be included? (T/N: This sounds like someone's line, but since there are no quotation marks, I'm wording it like this.) However it's a failure, but no problem, everything begins here, not with these failed creations; looks at the girls.

Fei Wang: When everything is over, I'll acquire the power to transcend space-time with these hands!

The enigma of "Tsubasa" was revealed! What is the destiny that follows the captive!? (T/N: There's a word here for which my dictionary gives "dried goods" or something of the sort, and which I left out entirely.)

What. The. Fuck? Is this supposed to be an ultra-late explanation as to why so much seemed to be off about Sakura? Okay, I suspected her to be a construct already (though I suspected Clow-ou, or possibly Clow Reed, would have had a hand on it), but the question is, when did the switch occur? The Sakura replica remembers Clow-ou, so are those memories she got from the real one, or was that already the replica? And in that case, what the heck was Clow-ou doing while his freaking daughter got abducted and replicated?

Is Ookawa messing with demonstratives again... or is Fei Wang in Clow-koku during the flashback? GAHHH!!!

Okay, back to bodies and hearts and souls. Sakura is aware that she isn't the real one, but she is different from clone Shaoran. So either we have a missing Shaoran, or the real Sakura did something that backfired on her, badly.

And when did Sakura find out about all this?

Now, how would Shaoran's death cause everything to end? Could he be doing something else to interfere in Fei Wang's plans? For some reason it struck me that Sakura's "end of everything" and Fei Wang's "end of everything" might refer to the same event. And speaking of endings, how does Clow Reed's last line to Yuuko factor into this?
