LOL at the Wanda Maximoff comment.

I wonder if stripping Kohane of her abilities isn't a blessing to her. Such an ability completely hurdles a child. The question is, is Kohane happy with her powers? Does she want them at all?

If she's giving them up for her wish then it's gotta have some kind of place in her heart... but I odn't understand, why does she want her powers? It's not bringing her any happiness, is there someone who's deceased and she can still see him/her?

I never thought of it from that angle.

Hmmm... maybe Kohane-arc is something more than just a filler (I always believed that CLAMP has a reaosn for everything they do, so Kohane might become really important later on) Did we find out Kohane's birthday already? I forgot, it'll be funny if it was the 1st of April..

As far as the weight of Kohane's price...I think this would be another situation where the price is exactly what's needed for the wish. Kohane's powers are a large part of the wedge between her and her mother. If she could not longer see the supernatural, then maybe her mom would be forced away from using her as a money-making tool.

As for Doumeki...I tend to agree that he's making a joke, trying to rile Watanuki back up a bit. He's more comfortable with the rambunctious Wata than this sad/resigned version.

Again, thanks for the spoilers!

I agree, sometimes the pace (or lack of) in HOLiC can be extremely frustrating.

Mokona is adorable. That scene with Kohane sounds so sweet.

'Make her mother's scandal stop?' Referring to the public scandal (which she kinda created, lol) or the deepening hatred in her? I would've thought the darkness/hatred was more the important thing to get rid of?

How will Yuuko answer to Kohane, who says she wants to save her mother at the price of the abilities she possesses!?
That sounds so ominous, and given CLAMP's tendency to lead the reader to think one thing and produce the other, I have a feeling Yuuko will say 'no', and then spend the next two chapters (God forbid) justifying herself and handing out more free philosophy.

Yuuko will say 'no'

That's what I think is going to happen, too. It will probably go like 'no, because it's your mother who has to make that wish,' or 'yes, but you do realize that you're overriding your mother's wish, and that would lead to unpleasant consequences.'

And I'm also curious to know what exactly 'make her mother's scandal stop' mean. I think it refers to the hatred for her husband within her, because as long as it's there she'll continue to selfdestruct.

Thanks Neither for the spoilers!

I like how Doumeki's reaction to Watanuki's statement is to make a joke. Very interesting character moment.

It wouldn't surprise me if Yuuko is collecting powers for a purpose; remember how FWR just said that "we are the same even in our wishes"?
