Well, isn't this special? FWR really thought of this one well, just going so back in time that could probably kidnap Sakura, Sayoran tries to rescue her but looses to his clone, ask Yuuko for help while this happens to be able to have another chance to fix this (imprisonment, time- and like you said, past erased from anybody who remembers him). Put his eye on the clone for him to be able to see what happens in the meantime, put a fake sakura and shaoran and carry his plan to have his wish "we are equal even in our wishes" is a metaphor that Shaoran and the other have no other choice to let the people melt in time and disapear as probably what was about to happen when Sakura was kidnapped. Probably Watanuki sacrificed his "memories" as payment for this (and his soul maybe too? Sharing it with Shaoran? Living with them (or at least knowing them?) and in order to save him, they put him on Yuuko's dimention(out of the reach of FWR, or impenetrable because Yuuko is there).
Or just a soup to condense our imagination and leave us confused.

I've stopped trying to make sense out of TRC. It's gone way into WTF territory.

I'm just going to turn my brain off when it comes to this chapter until I see it--when it comes out--and is translated... ^_^;
