Last Friday MEW (men's choir) went on a mini-tour around Portland high schools for recruiting and all that. We got a couple of good receptions and heard a couple of good choirs. Afterward we had some time to kill, so we went to Pioneer Courthouse Square and sang for a bunch of random people. Then we went to the ROSE GARDEN and sang the Star

We totally sang Prayer of the Children for a benefit "no dinner dinner" if I'm thinking of the same song. That's such a beautiful song! Your story reminds me of when I went walking as a freshman with some friends and I started to sing the base line to Stand By Me and everybody started chiming in to the point where we had harmony and all sorts of awesome. It makes me want to cry for missing high school jazz choir/girl's sextet, because that happened all the time...

You sang at the Rose Garden?!? I think some of my friends from Reed went to that game! I should ask them about it!

Housing sounds better than last year! Huzzah!
