Well, as of 2:00PM-ish today I am minus a number 20 tooth on the left side. In my mouth is soggy gauze and in my gum a gaping hole. Actually I think I can take the gauze out now since it's been six hours

Hey, it's cool. I almost WAS that person who didn't wake up! The dentist apparently beat the crap out of me to wake me up (okay, gently slapping my face, pinching my chin...not-so-gently slapping my face) and then I was unconscious for three days (man, those drugs were GOOD).
Other embarrassing things I did: I demanded to go into Walgreens with my mother and then laid down in the aisle, putting my head on her foot. I also apparently told people in the waiting room that I'd just had my wisdom teeth removed (along with "wanna see??" and pulling my mouth open, blood-stained teeth and all). Yeah...
Dude. I've had 12 teeth total removed. Ten baby teeth and two wisdoms-- in a series of two, four, four, and two. I can tell you ALL about it. I was knocked out cold each time.
When I woke up from wisdom tooth removal I was bawling. Like being told "Your entire family just died" bawling. They called my mom back to try and calm me down and she was all patting my hand like "uh, there there..." I'm sure the whole office heard me. The doctor came back and was all "Sweetie, are you hurting?" and I'm wailing "noooooooooooo!!!!!" and he said "Ah, she's fine. Give her a minute." Sure enough, a minute later I was done crying and said "Ok, let's go." Then I almost barfed in my mom's Mercedes.
Even better was when they put me under. They had FM100 or something on the radio and Aerosmith's "Dream On" is going while I'm tripping on the gas. As the IV takes effect Steven Tyler's going dreeeeeaaam on!!! Ayayaaaaaaaaaa!! and the doctor is kinda singing along with it. And I thought I could feel the ceiling. Damn.
