Does anyone know if I should take the Lifetime Learning Credit on my taxes or the Tuition and Fees Exemption?

I need a Bahamavention.

Is the lifetime learning credit the one where they give you like 1500 bucks for the freshman year and then again for the sophmore year??? If so- I'd take that I got like a couple grand back. But it may not be the same thing.
