What would Spain be like? Beautiful rolling hills, quaint little towns, amazing architecture. You couldn’t wait to see the museums and buildings and churches. La Sagrada Familia! Oh how amazing it would be! A beautiful 18-tower church still in the process of being built. How magnificent it would look! All of Spain’s old architecture would look magnificent. And the food! Oh you couldn’t wait to taste the food! You had tried cooking some of it at home before, but it never turned out quite as planned. You would get to try so many different kinds of new-
“YES! I won!” a loud voice interrupted you from your thoughts on various Spanish food.
“Wha-”
“I won! I won! I WON!” Jessica screamed again. You looked down at the cards in your hand and then at the cards on the table.
“Oh.”
“Hah! Finally!” she giggled. You finally began to come out of your shock and smiled slightly.
“I guess you did, Jess,” you laughed.
“After all these games, I finally won one!” she said as she jumped up and down and clapped her hands together.
“Nice job!” you laughed as you placed your cards down on the table. You stood up and stretched a moment before quickly scanning the room. Most of the girls had gone out to get dinner. You and Jessica had stayed behind to finish up your game, so you had asked for the girls to bring some food back for you. You were playing in SNSD’s waiting room at one of the music show sets. You couldn’t remember which one since you had gone to so many in the past few days. You were there supporting your boyfriend who had just come out with a new album with his band.
“We’re back!” the girls shouted as they came in with your dinner.
“And you come bearing food!” you exclaimed happily. You and Jessica bounced over to the bags of takeout, breaking out the chopsticks and digging in.
“Ten minutes!” the manager shouted to the girls.
“Ok!” they replied as they quickly sat down to get the finishing touches done on their makeup and outfits. You smiled and went around feeding the girls since they couldn’t reach the food.
“Ready!” the manager shouted again. The girls all got up and began heading out the door.
“Thanks unnie!” they waved. “See you after we’re done!”
“Ok!” you laughed. You looked around at the mess that had been left. You cleaned up some of the takeout boxes and put the rest carefully back in the bags. Hmm I guess I’ll go check up on Super Junior now then, you thought.
You walked down the hall towards Super Junior’s waiting room. As you entered, you heard someone shout “Hi noona!” You turned to your left to see Taemin cheerfully waving at you. You giggled and went over to give him a hug.
“Taeminnie! What are you doing here?”
“He’s stealing our food,” Eunhyuk jokingly answered.
“Hmm, well, that’s what I was here to do too. What are you eating?” you asked Taemin, stealing the chopsticks out of Eunhyuk’s hands.
“Yah!” he yelled. You looked at him and smirked, turning back to the food in front of you and picking out some noodles. You looked back at Eunhyuk to see that he was pouting at you. You rolled your eyes and fed him some chicken. He smiled and happily bounced off to get his hair done. You rolled your eyes again.
“~~~~~-ah!” someone shouted. You turned around to see that the someone was Sungmin.
“Hi oppa!” you smiled, giving him a hug.
“How are you? Aren’t you tired from following us around for the past few days?” You laughed.
“Well soon I won’t even get to see you guys, so I thought I should come as often as possible!” you replied.
“I can’t believe you’re leaving! I’m gonna miss you so much!” Sungmin exclaimed, hugging you again. You laughed. You knew you would miss everyone a lot, so you tried not to think about it too much.
“Sungmin!” a coordinator called.
“Oh gotta go!” Sungmin ran off to go get dressed. You wandered around and said hi to all of the guys. You were in the middle of reading the lyrics Ryeowook asked you read when suddenly you felt arms encircle your waist and someone’s chest pressed against your back.
“Hi beautiful.”
“Well hello there, cheesy,” you answered, turning yourself around in Donghae’s arms. He pouted.
“What?” he stared at you. “What does that mean?”
“It means you’re cheesy,” you answered unhelpfully. Giggling and twisting out of his grasp so you could go back to reading Ryeowook’s unfinished lyrics. Donghae pouted and pulled you back into his arms again.
“Tell me what it means!” he whined. You just laughed and ran away from him. You found an empty spot on the couch next to Siwon and plopped down.
“Hi Siwonnie!”
“Hi ~~~~~-ah!”
You had just gone back to reading the lyrics when Donghae came up in front of you with his arms crossed.
“Why are you running away from me?!” You giggled.
“I’m not running away from you, I just want to finish reading Ryeowook oppa’s lyrics. I’ve read the same line five times already thanks to you,” you replied, lightly hitting him on the head and going back to reading. He pouted and just sat down in front of you. You raised your eyebrows, but kept on reading.
“You’re already leaving me to go all the way to the other side of the world! Why are you ignoring me now?!” Donghae whined again. You sighed and stood up. You handed the lyrics back to Ryeowook, telling him that you would finish reading it later. Just as you handed them over, you were pulled back into Donghae’s arms again.
“Why are you leaving meeee?” he hugged you tightly to his chest, almost squeezing all the air out of you. You sighed and turned around to face him.
“I’m not leaving you,” you spoke softly. He pouted again for the umpteenth time and hugged you tightly in his arms. You hugged him back and patted his back softly. You wished you didn’t have to be leaving Korea where all your friends and family and boyfriend were, but you also wanted to go to Spain to improve the language you had been learning for the past few years. You had worked so hard on all your foreign language skills.
“Umm, Donghae.”
“Mmm?” he mumbled.
“You can let go now,” you said, trying to get yourself out of his grasp. Unfortunately, he had gained quite a bit of muscle and no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t get him to let go.
“I don’t want to let go,” he whined. “You’re mine! Mine. Mine. Mine! And I’m never letting you go!” You sighed.
“Always so cheesy.” He finally pulled away and held you at arms length.
“Why do you keep saying that? What does that mean?” You laughed. So that’s what it takes? You just shook your head and walked off to get a drink. He followed behind you and kept asking the same question: What does that word mean?
“If you really want to know so bad then just go look it up!” you answered, exasperated. You wouldn’t know how to explain it anyways. Donghae blinked at you for a moment before running out the door. You tilted your head questioningly for a moment, but let it go.
You wandered over to where Kyuhyun was playing games on his laptop and watched him play for a while. After a couple minutes, you began to wonder where Donghae went. To go look up the word “cheesy”, you supposed. Donghae would be the type to go and do something like that right after you told him to.
Suddenly the door to the waiting room was flung open and Donghae came running in. He paused in the middle of the room, frantically searching for you, only to see you hovering over Kyuhyun’s shoulder as he played StarCraft.
“I am not cheesy!” Donghae shouted, grabbing your arms and forcing you to turn around. You just laughed.
“So who did you ask?” you questioned. He paused for a moment before speaking.
“Taecyeon.” You laughed again and hugged him.
“You are definitely cheesy,” you told him. He thought about it for a moment.
“Well, ok maybe.” You laughed. “But only for you.”
