Greece has been in love with Egypt for a long time, but Turkey got to Egypt before he did, leaving him heartbroken and bitter.
Then he meets Japan, whose quietness and love of cats reminds him of Egypt, and begins going out with him. Except that somewhere along the way, he begins to genuinely love Japan for himself instead of just a replacement for the one he couldn't have.
Bonus: Japan finds out about Greece's initial reasons for dating him and feels hurt and used, and Greece has to convince him that while he did begin dating him for probably not the best reasons, he really does love him now.
