Greece/Japan - Religion

Jan 27, 2011 20:09

What with Japan's tendency towards secularism/religious syncretism and the overwhelming predominance of Orthodox Christianity in Greece, this anon would find it interesting to sort of explore that within the Greece/Japan relationship. Maybe one day Japan wears a cross as a fashion accessory and Greece decides to sort of show him how important his faith is to him and what the symbols of that faith meant him? Or maybe, because he likes to share the things that are important to him with the people he loves, Greece invites Japan over for Pascha one year? Idk, something like that. (Anon hopes this prompt does not come across as suggesting that the attitude or religions of Japan are in any way inferior, but as an acknowledgment and interest in the fact that the subject of religion is treated completely differently in these two countries.)

Any featuring of Greek Orthodox music would be complete love.
