Russia/Mongolia - Historical
So, Russia and Mongolia have a past... and I'm not talking about the Golden Horde that invaded in Russia.
Russia fought China to free Mongolia, then protected him before and during the Second World War. They have been on amazingly good terms these past hundred years (much better than Russia and China), with Mongolia being one of the first nations to turn Communist, which they willingly did after being freed from China.
