Hong Kong - Adding territory

Feb 11, 2011 21:16

The Hong Kong we know today wasn't given to UK all at once. In fact, new pieces were handed over over time. In 1860, Kowloon was added, and in 1898, the New Territories were also ceded to Britian.

Each time that happens, HK grows up. So I want to see England coming home after signing a treaty or two and suddenly finding a much more mature HK in his house each time. Cue "wtf is going on?!" expression.

Bonus i - Even as a little kid, HK used "like" a lot.
