Korea writes a drama and bases the characters off of people he knows (especially with a focus on the East Asia nations, please) without telling them he did so. (Of course, he puts himself in too.) It becomes a surprising hit, and suddenly everyone is watching it! But boy, do those characters seem familiar...

Reactions, shipping wars, people you wouldn't expect following it avidly. Can be canon-based or human AU. Pairings are optional, but I'm not particularly fond of China/Russia or Greece/Japan as final pairings.
