Japan meets Greece as a child. This meeting can take place way back when Greece's living at Turkey's house or after a magical spell de-ages Greece.
In either case, Greece develops a crush on the adult Japan and begins following him around, giving him flowers, etc. Japan isn't quite sure of how to react to this.
