Ok, so yesterday I lost my phone...the person turned off the phone so I have no way of tracking it anymore. Anyways, I've had verizon for so long that I'm thinking of switching sides to AT&T. I like the fact that AT&T have roll over mins but I hear from a lot of people their coverage sucks. So for a pick poll and description afterwards. What ( Read more... )

I like AT&T but that's because their coverage in NorCal is so much better than SoCal.

Agreed. I have AT&T, and actually get coverage in places that my other friends who have Verizon don't.

Hmm, I wished they'd have a way so you can try out a phone for a day, and if the coverage sucks around your area you can simply return. I know theres a return policy, but I just don't want to pay for each individual min.

Are you still in SLO or did you move? (I can't remember) Based on your answer, I could say whether or not I tried calling on my cell from that area, and if the service was good or not? Not much, but maybe it can help?

Well, we have Alltel, which is now under Verizon I guess...
Honestly their coverage is about as good as AT&T if not worse. Because I live rather rurally (compared to you no doubt xD) our coverage and plans really suck, but Verizon isn't bad in city areas.

Verizon's been great coverage wise, just the fact they when I go to cons and I use my phone mins a lot more than I normally do, thats when Verizon sticks a cattle prod up my ass. So with rollover mins, I'm thinking att would be able to help me dramatically and I won't have to look at my mins as much.

I have AT&T. I don't have any complaints about coverage. When it was Cingular, I couldn't get reception in my own apartment. When it became AT&T, no problems.

Honestly, I think it's all the same.

You would think that but when we're off at cons and need to get a hold of someone right then or if your doing long distance drives, using that phone buddy can really help you stay awake.
