Handwritten text woes

I'm working on 寶卷 (baojuan), a genre of Chinese religious literature. Recently I've begun to venture out of my comfort zone of late Ming, early Qing printed texts into the handwritten baojuan of the late 19th century.

Need some insight on a variant character. Yes, I've already pored over the variant character dictionary, but I'm just not

Hmm .. right away it looks like 件 to me but it's mostly because it comes right after 案.　I'm not sure though. My Chinese is rusty and I'm certainly no expert.

I asked my colleague and that's her guess too. Now we're wondering about the character right above 明. I think it could be 顯， but we're not certain about it.

That's one of the few words I don't recognize. I'll ask around and get back to you if I get an answer ... unless someone on here can confirm it for you.
