It's been a few days since it happened, but I have to report on it: The Duran Duran concert in Charlotte was one of the best concerts I've been to ever, and also probably the best time I had all summer. My friend, Kelly whom I work with scored the tickets, and her husband and I began our journey to Charlotte at 3 in the afternoon last wednesday

As for places to get cheap furniture, I recommend, as always, the various thrift stores. Miracle Mart on Wade Hampton is my personal favourite, but you've also got several Good-Wills around (one on East North at Pleasantburg across from the Bi-Lo; another on Haywood about half-way between the mall and Laurens; and a third out Woodruff a mile or two past 385).
