I'm in Corpus Christi for the weekend to be apart of my sister's wedding. This will be my first time being a bridesmaid and i'm happy it's for one of my sisters. I can at least offer you a flipside version of the house thing. My parents still live in the house I largely grew up in. They "built" it (worked with contractors) when I was probably 5 or so, so, 1970 thereabouts. It was ok and all, but here's the weirdness about it. I have a lot of bad dreams involving that house. Not because necessarily bad things happened at that house, but because I have bad dreams in general and somehow my brain has latched on to that place as being what represents "home" for me in a physical location. The funny thing is, I don't even LIKE that house so much. It's full of stupid design choices and has no flow to it at all.

However, I certainly understand being attached to something you think is going to always be there the way that it always has been. I think for me I may have felt more like that when I saw the first theater I ever went to turned into an auto parts store. :)
