Last night when I should have been sleeping, I couldn't resist this commentfic prompt for "any fandom, any characters," and the lyrics to "Rooftops and Invitations" by Dashboard Confessional. Oh, this little ficlet gets me in so many ways. Cat burglar Alex! In-control-of-her-awesome-body Alex! City views and city climbs from high places! This reminds me of what I loved, and dreamed of, in the DC Comics fandom.

Lovely! I can see Alex moving with this kind of confidence and grace. (I think Neal has it too.)

I think they both have it in different ways. :) Neal's lovely jump out the window in "Free Fall" is probably my favorite moment of the whole first season. (personal canon is that pre-prison Neal was a little bit on the scrawny side, which probably has to do more with me having a type than anything else.)
