It's not you, it's me

I've been finding Facebook more and more interesting lately, and LiveJournal less and less so. That's just the way it is. So I'm going to be spending more time and effort there. My recent hissy fit about WastePail09 is a symptom of this, not the (or even a) cause. The recent rise in weeping and wailing just threw into relief the fact that I'm ( Read more... )

Facebook bores me to tears, which is why I rarely go there more than once a week or so. I find it's far less conducive to the types of conversation that I prefer.

yeah!!! I'm not alone after all (but then since my 'homeport' is actually myspace, I am definitely NOT alone, there are plenty of the masses there...and it's okay NOT to like that forum, but this is my 'first' place on the intrawebs besides email, so it has a special place in my online world...not to mention that it has much to do with postrophe and I getting together orginally...

I am getting the impression that if I were to go to Facebook, I would be far more likely to connect with some old friends of mine from high school, though there is no way of knowing which friends until I get set up with Facebook. I do not yet know, though, if I will ever get around to it. Back when my major social life involved the science fictional amateur press associations (apas) I found it really difficult to deal with more than one at a time, and I am not ready to abandon LiveJournal. In any event, I look forward to seeing you when it happens to happen, and am quite sure we will be in some form of contact.

Personally, I use LiveJournal for blogging, I use Facebook and MySpace for various friends. I am keeping all of them although I am not paid on LJ due to lack of money. I am also on Twitter as an instant, quick blog vs LJ for more extended thoughts on Life, The Universe and Everything. Just my opinion, of course.

So what does one do on Facebook, other than upload photos and make lists of people and things that you like?
