Hot enough for me?

It's not enough that my personal life is in a shambles. (So what else is new?) A few weeks ago, a bookcase in the library fell over, falling on and breaking the free-standing fan I keep there. No problem; there's still the AC in the hallway ceiling, and the living room ceiling fan

I would have found these things extremely aggravating and am obviously not surprised that you do too. Sometimes I really do feel that I read fiction just to escape; most good novels come out well at the end, which helps compensate for the really troubling things in real life. In any event, hang in there and I am quite sure things will get better for you. (Does the resident manager, generally speaking, know what she is doing?)

Ceiling fans make me nervous--and your story won't help! I'm sure glad you weren't standing under it!!!
