TV review: "Defying Credibility," er, I mean, "Defying Gravity"

What was with this thing? The production values were like SyFy Channel (you can figure oot what I mean, eh) on a big-network budget. But, as so often, most of the budget seems to have been spent on all-important things like FX rather than unimportant stuff such as plot consistency and science accuracy ( Read more... )

Yours is the second bad review I've read of this show (I missed the premiere). I'm tempted to watch it just for Christina Cox, but it's sounding like the eyeroll factor is way too high.

I watched it, and probably will continue--I mean, I like stupidity--but watch it for what it is, without expecting all that much. It made me think of the t.v. disaster movies that've hit the airwaves lately in that I wish they'd just knock over building, send in the tornados, and set off the eruptions without all the half-crazed cops running around shooting people up, family drama, and iddle kitties being threatend by tsumais.

Gotta say, the nanobots in their underwear uniforms was pretty stupid. Just rotate that sucker!
