This is gorgeous. And this just about brought me to tears.

They stand together on a cold blustery beach, only they’re not together. They are a universe apart. She’s crying, and all he wants is to reach out and touch her. But he can’t and it breaks him just a little.

Wonderfully written :-)

*cries* Okay, I really need to learn my lesson about reading these at work already.

That was heart wrenching and sad. In the words of Sally Sparrow "Its like happy, but for deep people." Lovely and gorgeous and... sad. I love it.

I love that song so. That hit home a bit hard. :D

KD Lang has a gorgeous version as well. I'm partial to Rufus Wainright though... since, I had been before Shrek XD

i know jeff buckley covered it, and the original is awesome, but there is something about his voice which is chilling, and really suits the song. i have recently fell very much in love with him, so was somewhat gutted to find out he was dead...

Absolutely wonderful. I love your style--it's so fluid.

Oh, and this moment:
In that moment, that everlasting moment, where she throws back her head in bliss and cries out his name, in that moment, he wishes he was human, he wants it, craves it. He closes his eyes and he can see his whole life stretched out on front of him, like a tapestry. He can see himself growing old with her, lying warm in bed with her, a fire burning warm and bright in the fireplace as she sits in a rocking chair knitting. Children and grandchildren roam the house. Their house, with shag pile carpets and blue doors. He sees his whole life with her. How it could be. How it won’t be.

It surprised me, it's gorgeous, it's perfectly IC, it's so touching, it's original, and it's just so real. I love it. XD

thank you. i'm particularly grateful for the it's so fluid comment. i remember reading some awesome fanfic a few years back by donnarose which was so fluid and poetic it made me want to write. i kind of tried to adopt her style, and i often think im more waffly then fluid, so thank you very much.
