Interview Records

Hi,

I was hoping someone could help me out for a story.  If an attorney is present when someone is questioned, what is generally recorded in the police reports?  Just name and contact info for the attorney, or is more info required?

Thanks,

Generally, cops identify people by their name, date of birth, race and sex. Driver's license numbers are often useful, as they're even unique. They'd want an address and phone numbers for anyone that they would list in the report as well. For professionals, I'm generally content to use a work contact information. A lot of people are collecting e-mail addresses as well. Since this is a lawyer, I'd probably record their Bar ID number. Since you're dealing with an attorney, I might or might not list a DOB. I might list them more like a cop ( ... )
