What fun. I would start out by trying the design full size on a piece of poster board. That way you can figure out if you can do it freehand or if you need to make a stencil. Then you can post it up on the outside of the clubhouse and look at it from a distance, see if you think it would work as well as you hope. If the answer is yes, then I would just start with the front door wall then, then the back and sides if you desire. You might end up deciding that one or two walls is enough and paint the rest in coordinating solid colors. Or you might be having so much fun that you will do the whole thing.
I know nothing about making a stencil. I personnally would prime and then use acrylics and then seal them with a clear deck and siding varnish or something. There are probably better options though.
