What would you say is the most valuable aspect of physics to study for Interior Design?

I am trying to get some extra credit for my physics class, and I need to ask at least 5 people who are currently in the interior design field. I would much appreciate any answers from anyone.

The concepts of load bearing weight/tolerance and leverage.

That would have been my no.1, too, so I'll go with "Materials Properties" (Thermal, elastic, absorption, reflectivity, etc.)
