hi, i'm new to the community and would love some advice. my partner and i are moving next week and are curious on how to arrange our place

I'm not the designer, but I wanted to say that we ended up putting our couch and loveseat in a non-traditional style. The loveseat is against one wall and the couch is sort of perpendicular to it, almost like they are on two edges of a square (except there's space to walk between them). The atypical part is that the couch is not up against the back wall; it is about 4 feet away, next to one of the windows. I absolutely LOVE having a sitting space near the window and having the couch not up against the wall gives us a little mini-space back there to put bookshelves and art.

Holy crap. This is pretty much the exact appartment layout my friend lives in. They only have a couch and a TV stand though.
