Breaking Contract

There's been a psychopath living downstairs who waits until he thinks I am sleeping, then he bangs on the wall directly below where I am.  This has been going on for over 4 years.  It has been injurious to me because I am disabled by CFS.  That's the backstory

I don't know why I am being told to leave if that were the case. They probably intend to start new. In fact, the new owner might be the other jerk in the hood who hates me. But I don't know who it is - checked the Assessor's site and nothing has changed yet. It would be nice to think that, but I think that's 99% unlikely.

there are several law schools in Illinois (I don't know where you are.) Check and see if they have a Housing Clinic, you should be able to either get answers or get sent in a direction that will help. If you don't live close enough to one of them, call your local ABA and see what they can do to help you. I hope this helps, I'm sorry for the situation you are in.
