We don't answer questions about speculative fiction in ask_a_nurse - just because it really is speculation, and we're just not that type of community.

There are some communities dedicated to helping writers get the details right in their work - little_details is one that I know of.

Some other medical communities are good for those types of questions too - medquest is good (I read that one), or you can try medical_qs.
