First- a preface:  God has really been laying on my heart recently the importance of unrepented sin in my heart and how it prevents me from truly doing what he would have me do.  It had been brought to my attention more than once that it could ( Read more... )

God brings sins to my mind all the time that I haven't repented for and have forgotten about repenting for. I figured for awhile that just a blanket "Forgive me of my sins" covered them all, but He kept (and keeps) bringing them to mind. It took me awhile to realize that he was giving me these memories to help me ask his forgiveness, but realizing that and actually asking his forgiveness was and is very freeing.

I'm going to eastern Europe! I'm so excited. I can't really tell you where (yet) but I'll be setting up an LJ all about it closer to when I leave. I'll update it to let everyone know what's going on and how things are. It'll be friends only, but you'll definately be on the friends list.

WOW. That story is so amazing.

I'm consistently astounded at how God orchestrates such things, surprising us with thrills and twists and turns and even healings that we never anticipate.
Thank you so much for sharing, I really needed to be reminded of those things. And I'm so incredibly delighted for you. :D

Thanks so much! I'm really glad you got a lot out of it. That's my hope and prayer, that everyone who hears that awesome story will be touched in some way. I can't keep it inside me because I'm so excited about it (still)! The thing is, is that it's so personal that I worry people will glean anything from it and just think "Wow, that was a really long story he just told." It was definately a sign of God's hand moving things along.
