also: that is so long.
i actually wrote a few pages on the problem of evil for my philosophy final. in summary, it goes:
omnipotence + omnibenevolence + evil existing = wtf?
however: if god is also omniscient, then he might know that our world with evil existing is overall better than another. god could see all possible worlds when he created ours, and chose the one in which we decided to fall because he knows that in the end it is the best world. we cannot understand fully why, because we have limited knowledge.
kind of a leibniz deal going on there, but there you are.
i mean, that only works if you already accept that god is omnipotent and omnibenevolent, and omnipotence is kind of a problem in and of itself. so is omniscience, kind of. i also deal with solving these in my totally kickass philosophy final. by which i mean, i mimicked great men who had already kind of dealt with these problems but i don't care, i'm taking credit anyway.
