New Year's Dread

I spent Xmas with my family. It served to convince me that the doctors are right and that Mom really isn't long for this world. They're pretty positive that she won't make it to 2012. I have this gut feeling that when she dies, the grief will kill both my dad and grandmother as well. I do not look forward to this next year.

you were here for X-mas, I offer my condolences. Losing someone that important to one's very core is not something I'd wish on my worst enemy. However, this too shall pass, it won't be easy, things like these never are.
