I have to say that when I first saw it listed on IMDB.com, I thought, how STUPID!
But the trailer you've posted is pretty funny, and I do love dogs (and cats, and most other animals). The dog who spoke "gopher" really made me laugh. Costs too much to go to the theatre though, so that'll probably be a DVD rental.
I still think it looks really stupid, but for some reason I just can't contain my glee when the giant CGI dog eats food off the plate with its giant, fake mouth, and Lee Pace becomes more and more distraught (poor Lee Pace, I liked him so much in The Fall and Pushing Daisies but I'm afraid that he hasn't really "made it" if this is what's happened to him since).
Maybe it would be too much to take in a movie theater for hours, but I don't know.
