Agreed... this bites. It wasn't just that GE was critical of Disney, but it was more that his remarks (taken out of context) could be seen as anti-Semitic. They pulled a Limbaugh on him, but took far less time and public debate to do so.
I've read the offending comments (and Easterbrook's near-immediate apology and clarification) at the New Republic blog that he keeps. Whilst it did come on quite strong, and I haven't seen Kill Bill, the target of the missive, I could see his point.
The other thing people failed to recognize is that Easterbrook is an authority on religion; he's published at least one book on Christianity. Unlike Limbaugh, who I doubt is a card-carrying member of the NAACP, Easterbrook speaks from a position of knowledge and authority.
I have scoured the web to no avail for a resurgence of TMQ (including the old home on Slate). If I find something, I'll pass it along.
