Yeah, so it's been a few years since I've posted here, and it looks like all but one of my LJ-ers are gone. I guess everyone is on the Book of Face now. I personally refuse to use it; I mean, how many times have there been privacy breaches, and how many times has Z. promised to "do better

That company sounds great. And really, Happy Hour?

I have facebook, but don't really post there much. Mostly to follow up with others. Dreamwidth is cool, though, also. And there are friending memes both places on occasion.

Yes, Happy Hour, every Friday from 3 to 5, with free beer and wine and food.

And an expresso machine on every floor.

And nap pods. And foosball machines, and pool tables, and therapy dogs who visit every month. And an employee garden, if you're so inclined.

And a free gym...

The company is owned by AstraZeneca. It's the R&D arm that develops biologics. Lots of cancer research, but also diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and autoimmune disorders. I don't feel too bad working for them...after spending my entire career working for non-profits and government agencies and trying to make ends meet.
